Phuket Island

“Baan Leam Tuk Ka” at Kao Sireak that community is located 20 km. away from Phuket Town. More than 80% houses were washed away. 1,500 people had to take shelter in the tent and in Temple. Among the population 10% are Muslims. Main occupation is fishing. But they lost everything.

With the support of LOMEF, Muslim aid, U.K, AMAN/ARF/YCCI distributed essential commodities e.g Water, Rice, vegetable oil, Noodle packet, sugar and Milk.

They need food at least for 30 days. They need occupational equipments. Children need cloth. In the tent there are lots of Mosquito and children are getting sick. They need mosquito net.

In Phuket total death 281 and missing 2181 persons.


Suk Samran in Ranong


This area is near Burmese border. Total death 170 and missing 16 persons.
AMAN – ARF staff members with the help of local volunteers started distributing emergency assistance among 2000 people e.g , food, water, milk, fish can, noodle.

 

Satun

AMAN Volunteers has now reached to Satun. Total death 6. Voulnteers will soon start distributing food and other assistance among 700 families.

Phangnga and Krabi

This area the tourist island are mostly affected and total death 1, 703 and 157 respectively.
We are still assessing the needs.

LOMEF, Muslim Aid, UK, donated money was used to buy relief goods for distribution
